Celebrating Orioles at Sycamore Elementary

Twice a year, the Avon Board of School Trustees holds their monthly meeting at schools. Sycamore Elementary School hosted the February meeting, and board members were thrilled to meet several students.

Two students shared essays they had recently written and they promptly received invitations to join the Avon High School Speech & Debate team in a few years. Then, Art Teacher Katie Bonilla and four of her students talked about choose-your-own-adventure stories they had recently written to reinforce school values for younger students. 

The Board loves to meet Avon students and to get a glimpse into the incredible work they do each day.
